Kaweco International Standard Converter – Pearl Black and Chrome

I was pleasantly surprised as the converter that originally came with my Kaweco Dia 2 cracked after 8 years of little use, and was a dissaster. It was unusable as ink stuck to the inside and often refused to flow downwards. This is actually a common problem with converters, which is why some manufacturers have solved the problem by putting a small spring in the converter space, which slides up and down, breaking up any bubbles. This new version doesn’t suffer from the same problem, and ink flows freely inside. I haven’t had it for long so time will tell if the body is constructed well where the last one cracked (at the base ring). I removed one star as it feels very plasticy and a bit cheap. But it works.
